South Korea’s business mission will visit Malaysia on the occasion of President Moon Jae-in’s state visit to the Southeast Asian country this week, to strengthen economic ties, a local corporate lobby said Monday. A total of 250 business leaders who represent 13 conglomerates and 57 small and medium-sized companies will visit Malaysia to boost two-way economic ties, according to the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).

President Moon is scheduled to be in Malaysia from Tuesday to Thursday, which is part of his three-nation tour — Brunei, Cambodia and Malaysia. The business executives include Samsung Electronics Co. Vice Chairman Yoon Boo-keun, Hyundai Motor President Kong Young-woon, KCCI Chairman Park Yong-maan, SK Innovation President Kim Jun and LG Electronics President Song Dae-hyun. The KCCI will hold a forum there to provide an opportunity for business leaders from the two nations to meet.
