He stressed unity is the most crucial thing for the prosperity of the country.

“We know from history that when unity and cohesion reigned in society, we became a strong and prosperous state. Conversely, the lack of cohesion led to numerous deprivations, loss of statehood and freedom. But even in the most difficult times, there was hope for independence, to become an independent state. We have strengthened our statehood and taken our rightful place in the world arena,” he said.

Only the people are the true bearers of power, independence and state, he added.

Kyrgyzstan celebrates the Independence Day of the Republic on August 31. On that day, in 1991, an extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan adopted a resolution on the “Declaration on the State Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic”. According to this historic act, the Kyrgyz Republic was declared an independent, sovereign and democratic state.
