Pakistan soldier killed in Indian firing across border

Islamabad: A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred after Indian troops resorted to “unprovoked” firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Hajipir sector of Haveli district, Kashmir, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

The soldier was identified as Havaldar Nasir Hussain from Punjab province, by the military’s media wing.

Havaldar Nasir Hussain had been serving the Pakistan Army for 16 years, ISPR said.

On Thursday, Sepoy Ghulam Rasool had also been martyred in unprovoked firing by Indian troops in Hajipir sector.

On August 16 Sepoy Muhammad Sheeraz had lost his life due to Indian firing in Buttal Sector along LoC.
