Royal visit: Prince William, Kate Middleton meet Pakistan President, PM

Islamabad: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who landed in Pakistan late Monday evening for a five-day Royal Tour, met President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The royal couple was welcomed by PM Imran at his residence and President Alvi at Presidency.

Earlier, Prince William and Kate Middleton started the first full day of their tour of Pakistan by visiting the Islamabad Model College for Girls.

The Model College for Girls is a government-run school for the disadvantaged four to 18-year-olds, benefiting from the Teach for Pakistan program based on the UK’s Teach First scheme.

Kate arrived at the college dressed in a royal blue kurta (shirt) with trousers and dupatta (Scarf) prepared by a Pakistani designer.

Later, William and Kate visited Margalla Hills National Park to set a leopard camera trap with children.

Their trip was the first of its kind undertaken by any member of the British royal family to Pakistan in 13 years.

The Royal couple will travel to Lahore, capital of Punjab province on October 16 where they would tour SOS Children’s Village, Aitchison College, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, historic mosque of Mughal era and National Cricket Academy.

On October 17, William and Kate will head to northern areas of country where they are expected to interact with the locals and visit the Khyber Fort before they head back to the federal capital at night.

Then, on Friday, their last day of the five-day visit, the royal couple are set to visit the Faisal Mosque before their departure in the afternoon.

Over the course of the visit, Prince William and Kate Middleton will meet a wide variety of people, including children and young people, leaders from government, business and the charity sector, inspiring conservationists, and well-known cultural figures and sporting stars. как можно оформить кредитную карту
