A Down Syndrom Boy And Butterfly

HOUSTON — James Grace, 6, looks at a butterfly during the Changing Minds Foundation’s “Butterfly Flutter By” event Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Houston. The foundation released 1,000 live butterflies as part of the event designed to raise awareness of available treatment and research of Down syndrome, a condition that affects one in every 733 babies born in the U.S. Each butterfly could be sponsored for $21, a representative of Trisomy 21, a chromosomal condition caused by the presence of all or part of an extra 21st chromosome that causes Down syndrome. <AP/Newsis>
