Major News of Ammon News: “Jordan ready for all possibilities of Syria crisis”
Prime Minister, Fayez Tarawneh, on Tuesday said that Jordan is ready for all possibilities resulting from the crisis in Syria, reiterating that the Kingdom is not a party in the ongoing conflict.
However, Tarawneh added, the Kingdom is one of the most affected countries by the ramifications of the ongoing turmoil in Syria.
During a meeting with Britain’s Secretary of State for International Development, Andrew Mitchell, the prime minister renewed Jordan’s call for a peaceful resolution to the turmoil to stop bloodletting and spare the Syrian people further suffering.
Tarawneh said the Syrian refugees, whose number surpassed 150,000, are adding further strains on the national economy, urging countries and international relief agencies to coordinate with the Kingdom to determine the kind of needed assistance.
