Temples to see in Bangkok

Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)

Wat Arun is over 70 meters high and is beautifully decorated with tiny pieces of colored glass and Chinese porcelain that has been placed delicately into intricate patterns. Although it is known as the Temple of the Dawn, it’s absolutely stunning at sunset, particularly when lit up at night.

Wat Pho

Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha), is the largest temple in Bangkok and famed for its huge and majestic reclining Buddha measured at 46 meters long and covered in gold leaf. The Buddha’s feet are 3 meters long and decorated in mother-of-pearl illustrations.

The Grand Palace

The Grand Palace

A visit to Bangkok would not be complete without the dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace, undoubtedly the city’s most famous landmark. Built in 1782, it was the home of the Thai King for for 150 years.   It continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail.  Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

Ko Phangan

With an overall area of 167sqkm, is Thailand’s fifth biggest island. Located 70km from the mainland and just 12km from Ko Samui, Ko Phangan does not have an airport as it is a very hilly island but can be easily accessed by ferry.  With being predominantly made up of granite, its almost unspoild beauty is accented by a hilly, lush tropical jungle interior, with long white-sand beaches
