“Netflix” comes to Korea in 2016

The biggest on-demand internet streaming media “Netflix” is expected to be available in Korea starting next year. As Greg Peters, head of international projects at Netflix, said during his speech in streaming international convention held at Coex mall in Seoul in September. He explained that his company plans to start implementing Netflix in Korea by 2016.

Netflix is one of the biggest streaming american corporations providing service to over 65 million subscribers in more than 50 countries. It allows them to watch shows and movies through their smart phones and computers and any other internet-connected devices.

Reed Hastings, Netflix CEO, said that Korea is considered one of the most convenient markets because of its fast and highly integrated internet connections, pointing that Korea is going to be a major market for expanding Netflix’s market.
