Samsung Fulfilled its Promises

SAMSUNG, the largest phone maker in South Korea, is also the third largest in the world. This impressed me and other journalists from 50 countries, when we visited one of its Research and Development (R&D) Centres in 2009.

A high ranking official at the press briefing then said, Samsung would be launching a hand phone equipped with a camera including video facility and many other devices. Two years later, Samsung fulfilled its promises by introducing hand phones with multiple purposes to the Malaysian market. That model made people switch to Samsung, even though it was more expensive than other brands.

Regarding Samsung hand phone, Izwaashura Sadali, 35, a journalist said, she likes Samsung hand phone as it is a user friendly. Apart from its multiple functions, which are frequently upgraded, like the camera and operation system. “I have enjoyed both Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S6 Edge because I could review You Tube easily,” she added.

Sales executive, Suresh Raman, 40, said, he had used Galaxy Note 1, Note 11 and Note 3. “I changed the phone once it stopped functioning. I liked all the models as the memory can be upgraded. The battery is also replaceable and the Android is customised.”

Meanwhile a student said, he had to change the motherboard of his Galaxy Note 3 after using it for about two years. “As the second hand value was the same as the repair cost of RM900, I decided to repair and continue using it,’’ he said.

Another user of Galaxy S4 said, she was very happy as she need not change her phone battery after using it for two years. “This model is a user friendly and I have taken many good photos with it,” she said.
