The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, said the Yemeni army and popular forces would counter Riyadh’s air strikes that targeted a crowded funeral ceremony in the Yemeni capital Sana’a in the battlefields, Vestnik Kavkaza reports.

Shamkhani underscored that the US government is the main partner of Saudi Arabia’s ruler Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s crimes in his blatant killing of the defenseless Yemeni people.

Commenting on the US’ massive and unrestricted sale of advanced weaponry to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, he added although Washington is fully aware of Riyadh’s employment of American armaments for massacring the Yemeni innocent women and children, it has expanded the type and volume of its dispatched weapons to the Saudi army.

He also described the statement of UN Committee on the Rights of the Child for condemning the Saudi government’s role in massacring the Yemeni children as a ‘weak’ reaction to the brutal behavior of Riyadh and its allies.

Shamkhani noted the western public opinion should be aware of Al Saud large-scale crimes that are directly supported by the US and show reaction to such crimes stridently, IRNA reports.
