Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday will inaugurate the first phase of completed section of M-9 Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway at Nooriabad on Feb 03, 2017.

Frontier Works Organization (FWO), carrying this project converting existing Super Highway into 6 lanes Motorway with the total cost of the project is Rs. 46.78 billion and it would be constructed in four sections.
The motorway will connect Karachi Northern Bypass with a trumpet interchange then continues out of the city and Bin Qasim port areas. The scope of work includes 275 km long Service Road among 8 Interchanges and pedestrian bridges, 11 new bridges, rehabilitation of 2 old bridges, 2 Service Areas, an efficient and state of the art ETTM/IT system as well as massive tree plantation and landscaping both sides.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Karachi would also visit FWO Trauma Center and public School at Dumba Goth near toll plaza and will attend the inauguration ceremony at Noori Abad a center point of Karachi-Hyderabad motorway here.

Officials disclosed that around 132 KM Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway 3 sections will be completed by October 2017, among one section has completed in February 2017, that will be opened tomorrow.
The M-9 Motorway will have seven interchanges, two service areas at the midway points and 16 toll plazas on entry and exit points.

Frontier Works Organization ultimately completed the first phase within stipulated time, it was promised by the FWO Chief Lt. General Mohammed Afzal since the ground breaking of M-9 in 2015. The routes will eventually meet the CPEC objectives to connect national arteries to the up country and Gwadar port city.
