Restart of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations started on the stage of theatres

16901455_412133822462575_125783017_nArtists of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh state Uzbek-language academic musical drama theater named after Muhammad Bobur staged plays in Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions of Uzbekistan.

The theater was invited to Uzbekistan during the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Prime Minister Adham Ikramov to Osh region of Kyrgyzstan.

The visit was the first for last 12 years. The theater’s staff acquainted themselves with great construction works being carried out in the regions. They visited tourist attractions, held creative meetings with writers, students of different universities and colleges.

16933421_412133759129248_1946408423_nA play entitled “Aykul Manas” based on Jalil Siddiqov’s work was performed by the Osh theater’s artists on the stages of all three regions’ theaters.

“This artistic visit is unforgettable. The changes and construction and improvement work here evoked a feeling of admiration in us. All these are results of peace and calm in Uzbekistan. We are glad that the play performed by our artistic group was met with an ovation by spectators. Such meetings give artists inspiration,” says Idris Aytbayev, deputy director of the Osh state Uzbek-language academic musical drama theater.

The director of the theater Nabijon Mamajonov expresses his feeling on the visit: “We are very pleased to visit Fergana valley which has been possible after practical trying of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. This experience will be useful for us to develop our creative potential as we saw the real support of Uzbek theater school. We decided together with Uzbek colleagues to stage this year new play on Babur’s life.”
