Hera Seoul Fashion Week 2017 F/W

2017 F/W: Day 1&2

As some of you may know, Seoul is one of the leading cities for fashion. Seoul fashion week (SFW) 2017 F/W brought some everyday looks as well as some extraordinary looks. SFW was held at Dongdaemun design plaza, which is one of the newest and most iconic landmarks in the Korean design industry. Outside the venue the street style scene was off-the-hook, with many people wearing looks that you might not wear as daily looks but could nevertheless keep you looking stylish on the streets.  Most of the designers were progressive in approaching their designs.

Seoul Fashion Week 2017 F/W collections have drawn to its close, so let’s take a look at some of my best collections of the first two days at SFW.

Greedilous

The opening of Hera Seoul Fashion Week 2017 F/W began with Park Yoon Hee’s GREEDILOUS show. The show’s theme was amusement park and it consisted of colorful and a lively runway performance. Greedilous brought some chic looks with great two-piece looks, a bit of faux fur, blazers, and detailed touches such as on the lapels of jackets.

The all-black looks that included tiered frocks, leather ruffles as well as pearl ornaments were all perfectly combined together. However, the show also included kaleidoscopic prints as well as vibrant colors, lace, and leather, which were combined with pastel pink, pastel blue, green, black and white, to bring in the warm sensation of spring and summer

Supercomma B

Supercomma B, brought an exciting performance in their 2017 F/W winter presentation. The show included big names in the Kpop industry adding “fun” and a youthful tough to the fashion walkways. There were some popular trends that appeared on the show like the oversized and fun-colored puffer jackets, puffer pants and long arm sleeves. There was no lack of color as the audience saw vests, track pants and even ties in bright green, blues and reds which gave the collection a sporty essence and a retro and pop feel. Models added excitement to the runways as shows were also being streamed live on Facebook—which also allowed those who were unable to make it to SFW feel included.

Rubina & Route 1

The brand ‘RUBINA’ unveiled its 2017 F / W collection on Tuesday, March 28th with the theme of “Nostalgia”. The brand had its 40th anniversary, and in its collection they included toned colors like khaki, brown, green, deep gray and deep blue tones. The show had a cool and peaceful atmosphere that was well balanced with the collection and the unique makeup looks on the models finished the overall look of the collection.

The second part of the fashion shows included ‘ROUTE 1’ collection, which was newly launched this year. The collection attracted a lot of attention, with its presentation that included 20 design pieces. The theme of the brand was “Become the beat of the city,” covering trendy and feminine looks with a little bit of edge. This season, the concept embraces the lives and energy of independent and trendy women’s cities, and has created a delightful and delicate style of sensibility by utilizing vivid colors, retro check patterns, denim, chiffon, eternal knit and jacquard.  In particular, she added a sporty ball cap to various costumes of various colors and patterns to create a distinctive and independent woman.

BLINDNESS

BLINDNESS was one of the long-awaited brands to introduce its collection and the designers Ji-Sun Park and Kyu-Yong Shin definitely have definitely exceeded at least my expectation. The brand broke down gender ideas with its glamorous and rock inspired collection, also showing a unisex and genderless collection, which had more of a dreamy and pretty feel to it but with a modern twist.  The clothing line included pearls, deep velvets, patent, ruffled textures and bow-tied shirting etc. This brand is definitely one of my absolute favorites from Hera Seoulfashion week 2017 F/W collections.

Pushbutton

Pushbutton came through spectacularly for Hera Seoul fashion week 2017 with its eccentric streetwear look. Designer Seung Gun Park displayed his collection of playful street-inspired looks with strong-shouldered boxy coats, the half and half jacket looks, the loose-fitting attires as well as the colors range being from red to blue to green and khaki. I loved the collection’s colorful and effortless looks fit for everyday wear.
