A Chinese developer in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province had built an entire 57-storey within just 19 days, reported by Chinadaily on March 20.

According to a time-lapse video, this Sky City building was put up at a rate of three full storeys a day.

The building has 800 apartments that could accommodate 4,000 people work together.

It was originally planned to be built up to a height of 220, but it was cut down for too close with a nearby airport.

“As large sections were put together at another location and took to the building site to be stacked on top of each other, which speeds up the construction,” said the developer.

“This significantly reduced the number of trips needed to transport the raw materials,” they added.

Meanwhile, the company had finished a 30-storey building just within 15 days in Changsha some days before.

While some online users have raised concern over safety.
