Egyptian historian represents Middle East in Korean forum

Dr. Hussein Abdel-Baser, Director of the artifacts in the Pyramids area, managed to get Egypt’s minister of artifacts’ Mamdouh Al-Damaty’s consent, to participate in Yeongwol’s third international forum for Museums, held in South Korean city, Yeongwol. The forum will start on Wednesday, 28th of October and will last for three days.

Dr. Abdel-Baser is the only Arab world and Middle East representative in the International forum. A large number of historians from USA, Canada, France, UK, Germany, Japan, China, and South Korea are participating.

The director of the artifacts in the Pyramids area said that he’s participating as a keynote speaker, with a research paper titled “Egyptian Museums in the Twenty-first century.” He also said that it’s extremely important for Egypt to participate in different forums and international conferences that show interest in Egypt’s ancient civilization.

He talks of the importance of such forums as a way to exchange different ideas, reinforce archaeological work, and encourage tourism.
