Ritual for deceased sex slaves

Protesters carry a funeral bier at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul, Wednesday, as part of a ceremony wishing for the repose of deceased former sex slaves who were forced to serve Japanese soldiers during World War II. They joined the weekly rally held in front of the Japanese Embassy every Wednesday to call for Japan’s formal apology and compensation for those women. <The Korea Times>
