He arrived in a special aircraft at the Sultan Mahmud airport at 5.50 pm and was greeted by Terengganu Menteri Besar and chairman of the State Umno Liaison Committee Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, who led more than 100 VIPs and state dignitaries and leaders of Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties.

Najib proceeded immediately to a football field next to the Kampung Padang Nanas Mosque in the Kuala Nerus parliamentary constituency to present robes to imams and other mosque officials.

The prime minister is also scheduled to present Ramadan gifts to orphans, the less fortunate, elderly, single mothers and the physically challenged and break fast with the people.

After performing Maghrib prayers at the Kampung Padang Nanas Mosque, he is scheduled to perform Isyak and Tarawih prayers at the Wakaf Tembesu Mosque before flying back to Kuala Lumpur. — Bernama
