A 23-year-old, Ravinder Kumar was arrested a week prior for the murder of a minor. Since then, he has admitted his involvement in 38 cases of murder and rape of minors at different places in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in India.

Kumar claims that he sexually abused corpses of 32 among the 38 minors he murdered, shocking even Delhi police. Kumar lives in Delhi and has confessed to murdering children – all under 14 years – in and around Delhi since 2008.

Delhi Police said they had set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case to look for more evidence in the neighboring states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

The remorseless Kumar began his crime spree in 2008. He would lure children with candies and kill them if they resisted. He would have sex with their bodies, making him a necrophiliac.

The suspected serial rapist-killer shows no guilt admitting his crimes and blames locally brewed liquor and his addiction of correction fluids, whiteners and glue for the murders.

On Tuesday, Kumar admitted to having committed his first crime when he was barely 17 years old.

A laborer’s girl child from a Delhi Metro construction site in Delhi was his first victim. He took her to an isolated spot, had sex with her and then dumped the body. Police, however, could not find a record of the crime as it was not reported.

Kumar claimed that he had killed 11 of his victims after they resisted his attempts to sexually assault them or threatened to expose him.

Revealing his modus operandi, he told police that he usually committed the crimes in the afternoon or in the early hours.

Kumar claims his brain stops functioning and he enters into trance after consuming a full bottle of locally manufactured hooch and inhaling glue and correction fluids. “When I lose control of my brain, I get sexually charged. I go out for a long stroll during which I look for vulnerable children. Sometimes, I walk for more than 10 kilometers in one go without knowing my destination or the place where I am heading towards,” Kumar reportedly told his interrogators.

He was arrested on July 16 for raping and murdering a six-year-old girl in Begumpur, India. The girl had gone missing on July 14, and the interrogation that followed this arrest exposed Kumar’s shocking crime saga.

Kumar, according to the officer, also blames his disturbed childhood for turning him into a living monster. He claims that he was often sodomized by his two neighbors — Anil and Sunil — when he was 10 or 11 years old.
