Mr. Pizza, a pizza franchise operated by South Korea’s MPK Group, has opened its fifth store in the United States inside the Westfield Century City shopping mall in California.

The new Los Angeles location of Mr. Pizza is on the third floor of the Westfield mall, considered among the largest shopping complexes in the U.S.

The Korean pizza franchise will feature a diverse menu of pastas and pizzas made with handmade dough, toppings and baking methods, as well as “special combo” value sets priced at $9.99.

“We chose to open up a new branch inside a mall with a high number of visitors in preparation for expanding our franchises in the U.S.,” said Lee Dong-wook, who leads MBK Group’s U.S. affiliate.

This comes after the company recently announced the opening of its 100th location in China in October as it continues its aggressive expansion this year.

“While seeking to become the No. 1 pizza chain in China, we will expand our reach to the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, the United States and other countries,” an official told The Korea Herald.
