In the report, it said that the meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister of Hamas Ismail Haniyya in Gaza is one of the most important agenda of Commission I’s visit. After meeting with Haniyya, Commission I then traveled to Jordan.

The visit of Commission I was to show Indonesian’s concern over the long-standing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

After the meeting with Haniyya Thursday (29/11) evening local time, delegates took time to visit the family of the late Ahmad Said Khalil Al-Jabari who was commander of Hamas military wing,  but killed by Israeli’s rocket attack. During the visit, the delegation offered financial assistance for the family.

On the same night, at around 11.30 p.m. local time, the UN General Assembly has decided to elevate the status of the Palestinian membership to non-member observer state. Gaza people welcomed the rise in status by holding long march around the city.

The next day, Friday (30/11), the delegation visited the ash-Shifa hospital. Ash Shifa hospital was built by donations from citizens of Indonesia. The hospital construction is still ongoing.

After the visit to Ash Shifa hospital, the delegation then returned to Cairo to go to Amman, Jordan.
