[Indonesia Report] Indonesian mixed doubles win in Taiwan Open

Indonesian Mixed Doubles, Muhammad Rijal and Debby Susanto won the first gold medal for Indonesia in Taiwan Open Tournament 2012 on Sunday (October 10).

Rijal and Debby were favored to take the first place by defeating Hong Kong’s athletes, Lee Chun Hey and Chau Ho Wah.

Rijal and Debby finally beat Lee Chun Hey and Chau Ho Wah with scores 21-14, 21-14.

According to Kompas.com report, Rijal and Debby were superior to their rivals.

The Indonesian doubles had more experiences compard to their Hong Kong rivals. Therefore they pressured the rivals to do unforced errors.

Rijal and Debby then won against their rivals in 30 minutes.

Indonesia still has opportunity to add more medals by sending its representatives in three other numbers.

In Women’s Doubles number, Indonesia even faces their own fellow Indonesians.

In 2010 and 2011, Indonesian Men’s Single won gold medal in the two consecutive years.

While the rest of the gold medals were swept by South Korean athletes in 2011, in Women’s Single number, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
